Though these dogs have a long and dense coat, grooming requirements are not very high for this breed. These large and powerful dogs need firm discipline, regular exercise and early socialization. These dogs are very active and are not recommended for indoor living. They are not kennel dogs either, because they need much interaction with humans. Putting a dog of this breed on a chain will create a frustrated, bored, and potentially dangerous animal. These dogs enjoy active games and should be allowed to run and play for several hours a day.
