These are non-profit organizations that survive thanks to adoption fees, private donations and fund raising activities. All the money is spent on dogs, their cure, training, keeping in foster houses, and so on. Each year such organizations help thousands of animals find new homes and owners. The dogs come to saving organizations for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to divorce, illness, moving, lack of commitment, allergies, abuse and general lack of knowledge of the breed. The dogs are helped as much as possible though unfortunately new homes are often found for purebred dogs only.
