This breed can be taught a lot of different tasks easily as it is very intelligent and easy to train. Training should begin in the earliest age as untrained dogs have a tendency to be difficult to handle and control. The dogs were originally trained as herders; these dogs are still used in some areas as herders. These dogs do not require any special care; all you need to do is to groom the dog every day, as the coat is double and of medium length. These dogs do well outdoors; they are adapted to cold weather.
